NDC Moves Inauguration of Peter Obi’s National Campaign Council to October 26

General

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has rescheduled the unveiling and inauguration of its National Campaign Council from October 20 to October 26, 2026.

The party announced the change in a statement issued on Monday, October 19, by its National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director.

According to the statement, the decision was prompted by the tight schedule of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who has an important engagement overseas.

The event, initially scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, will now take place on Monday, October 26.

The party apologised for any inconvenience caused by the change and urged its members and supporters to remain focused on its electoral ambitions.

It also called on party faithful to sustain their commitment to securing victory for Obi and other NDC candidates in the forthcoming presidential and general elections.

Reaffirming its campaign message, the party declared: “A New Nigeria is POssible!”
