Rite Foods Named Nigeria’s Best Food and Beverage Brand at Global Awards

General

Rite Foods Limited has been named Nigeria’s Best Foods and Beverage Brand for 2026 at the Global Brand Awards held in Dubai on October 2.

The recognition highlights the Nigerian fast-moving consumer goods company’s efforts in product innovation, manufacturing, quality and consumer engagement.

Organised by UK-based Global Brands Magazine, the awards recognise brands for their performance in areas such as innovation, market impact, brand development and customer relationships.

Rite Foods said the award reflects years of investment in product development, manufacturing technology and initiatives aimed at meeting consumers’ needs.

The company’s product portfolio includes Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, available in 13 variants, Bigi Table Water, Sosa Fruit Drink in five flavours, Fearless Energy Drink in Classic and Red Berry variants, Rite Spicy Sausage Roll, Bigi Beef Sausage Roll, Bigi Flex Sausage Roll and its recently launched LIDA Malt.

These products are manufactured at the company’s automated production facility, which is equipped with advanced technology and infrastructure.

Commenting on the recognition, Rite Foods Managing Director, Seleem Adegunwa, described the award as an endorsement of the company’s commitment to developing Nigerian brands capable of competing internationally.

He said the achievement also reflected the contributions of the company’s employees, business partners and consumers who have supported its growth.

Adegunwa added that Nigerian businesses could compete successfully in an increasingly competitive market by maintaining high standards, investing in innovation and creating long-term value for consumers.

The latest award follows another recognition for Adegunwa, who was named Industrialist of the Year 2025 by Vanguard Media Limited for his leadership and contributions to Nigeria’s FMCG sector.

Rite Foods has also pursued product and marketing innovations across its portfolio. Its Bigi brand has built a presence in Nigeria’s carbonated soft drinks market, while Fearless Energy Drink introduced packaged energy drinks in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles to the Nigerian market, according to the company.

Beyond manufacturing, the company said it has continued to support youth empowerment, community development, sports and entertainment initiatives.

Rite Foods said it would continue to invest in product development and consumer engagement as it seeks to strengthen its position in Nigeria’s competitive consumer goods market and expand the reach of its indigenous brands.
