Students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), are getting three days of music, dance and talent competitions as Bigi and Fearless Energy Drink bring Soundcity OnTour to the institution from October 7 to 9, 2026.
The event, sponsored by the two brands owned by Rite Foods Limited, features music auditions, dance competitions, games and other interactive activities, with students given opportunities to showcase their talents beyond the classroom.
One of the major attractions is the BIGI Music Competition, which offers aspiring student artistes the chance to compete for a ₦1 million prize. The Fearless Dance Competition will also give student dancers an opportunity to display their skills and creativity.
The three-day programme will culminate in a grand concert on October 9, bringing together music and other entertainment activities on campus.
Biola Aransiola, Brand Manager of BIGI, said the initiative was designed to provide young Nigerians with opportunities to express themselves and gain recognition for their talents.
She noted that the tour also allows the organisers to connect with students and experience the creative energy of different campuses.
The FUNAAB edition forms part of the 2026 Soundcity OnTour campaign, which is scheduled to visit 20 tertiary institutions, expanding on its debut in 2023 when it reached 10 campuses.
Previous stops on this year’s tour have included Pan-Atlantic University, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Yaba College of Technology, the University of Lagos, the University of Uyo, the University of Calabar, Obafemi Awolowo University, the University of Port Harcourt, Niger Delta University and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Through the programme, BIGI is focusing on music and emerging artistes, while Fearless Energy Drink is backing the dance competition and related activities.
Both brands are part of Rite Foods Limited, a Nigerian food and beverage company. The company said the campus activation is intended to create opportunities for young people to showcase their abilities and engage with entertainment beyond their regular academic activities.
