Chain Reactions Africa Earns Six Nominations at 2026 ICCO Global Awards

General

Chain Reactions Africa has secured six nominations at the 2026 International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) Global Awards, becoming the only Nigerian public relations consultancy featured on the published shortlist.

The recognition places the independent African consultancy among international contenders for awards celebrating strategic communications, creative campaigns and measurable impact. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Milan, Italy, on November 12, 2026.

The consultancy’s nominations cover six categories, reflecting its work across consumer marketing, digital communications, public affairs and environmental, social and governance (ESG) campaigns.

Its nomination for Championing Diversity recognises the consultancy itself, while Deeply Rooted, developed for Orijin by Guinness Nigeria, earned a place in the Consumer Goods category.

Other shortlisted campaigns include #NigeriaRebounds, created to promote the gains of Nigeria’s economic reform programme, in the Best Digital, New Media and Influencer Marketing Campaign category; Show Some Luv to Mum, developed for Indomie by Dufil Prima Foods, for Best Use of AI in a Campaign; and Customs Cares, developed for the Nigeria Customs Service, for Best ESG Campaign.

The sixth nomination is for From Promises to Proofs, another campaign focused on communicating the progress of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reform programme. It is shortlisted in the Best Public Affairs Campaign category.

Reacting to the nominations, Chain Reactions Africa’s Founder and Chief Strategist, Israel Opayemi, said the recognition showed that an independent African consultancy could produce creative and effective campaigns capable of competing on the global stage.

He said the consultancy was proud to bring African perspectives and cultural understanding to campaigns judged by an international panel, adding that effective communication should go beyond visibility to influence public perception and deliver meaningful results.

The nominations for #NigeriaRebounds and From Promises to Proofs also highlight the consultancy’s work in public affairs and strategic communication. While the latter focuses on communicating the administration’s reform agenda and progress, the former extends the messaging through digital platforms.

The ICCO recognition comes as Chain Reactions Africa prepares for another international outing in Chicago on October 26, where From Promises to Proofs is scheduled to feature among the Top 40 campaigns selected for the 2026 Global SABRE Awards. The campaign was selected from more than 5,500 entries across over 60 countries.

Opayemi is also expected to speak at the event, where he will present the strategic thinking behind the campaign and its intended outcomes to an international audience.

The latest nominations build on the consultancy’s recent performance at the 2026 Africa SABRE Awards, where it won three trophies and finished second overall on the continent. From Promises to Proofs was also named a Platinum SABRE finalist in Africa.

Beyond its campaign successes, Chain Reactions Africa recently won the Large Consultancy category and ranked third overall in Earned First’s inaugural Africa Consultancy Performance Index.

The latest achievements further strengthen the consultancy’s international profile, highlighting its efforts to combine African cultural insight with strategic communications and campaigns designed to deliver tangible outcomes.
