Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) is set to host the ninth edition of its annual Fashion Weekend on November 7 and 8, 2026, bringing together designers, fashion entrepreneurs, beauty experts and enthusiasts for two days of creativity, business and style in Lagos.
The event, themed “Fashion Is Timeless,” will hold at the GTCentre, Plot 1, Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Lagos, from 10am to 10pm daily. Attendance is free and open to the public.
This year’s edition will celebrate fashion as an expression of culture, identity and creativity, while providing a platform for African designers and fashion businesses to showcase their work, connect with customers and explore new opportunities.
Visitors can expect a mix of fashion shows, masterclasses and retail experiences, with 140 curated fashion stores offering a variety of fashion items at accessible prices. A dedicated Streetwear Hub will also provide space for contemporary fashion and the creative trends influencing today’s culture.
The runway shows will feature designers from Africa and other parts of the world. Day one will showcase collections from Tongoro, FIA Factory, Ibrahim Fernandez, Washington Roberts, Maison Sara Chraibi and Imane Ayissi.
The second day will feature Sukeina, House of Marvee, Selam Fessahaye, Kim Shui, Ohlanna Bu Zikora and LaQuan Smith.
Beyond the runway, the event will offer masterclasses led by personalities in the global fashion and beauty industries. They include fashion entrepreneur, model and digital creator Sherlina Nym, Rachel Ojuromi, and Renee Morris, founder of natural hair brand Uncle Funky’s Daughter. Buttah Skin will also lead a skincare masterclass.
A major addition to this year’s event is the introduction of the GTCO Fashion Collective, a year-round platform designed to keep fashion professionals and businesses connected beyond the annual weekend.
Speaking ahead of the event, GTCO Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Segun Agbaje, said the platform had grown over the past nine years into a meeting point for discovering talent, sharing knowledge and connecting fashion businesses to new markets.
He explained that the Fashion Collective would bring together designers, models, stylists, photographers, editors, buyers, content creators and other members of the creative industry, creating more opportunities for collaboration and business throughout the year.
Agbaje said the initiative reflects the company’s belief that fashion goes beyond personal style, serving as an important source of enterprise and economic opportunity.
Since its introduction, GTCO Fashion Weekend has developed into a platform for fashion entrepreneurs to display their products, interact with consumers and gain visibility within and beyond the African market.
With its combination of runway showcases, industry masterclasses, retail opportunities and the new Fashion Collective, the 2026 edition is expected to bring together different parts of the fashion industry while celebrating the creativity and business potential of African talent.
