SUNU Health Nigeria Limited has won the Healthcare Financing and Health Insurance Excellence Award at the Nigerian Professional Excellence Awards 2026, while its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Moyosore Olomola, was named among the Top 100 Nigerian Professionals for the year.
The awards were presented at a gala dinner held on October 3 at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos, bringing together professionals and industry leaders to recognise contributions to Nigeria’s economic development.
SUNU Health, a health maintenance organisation and member of the pan-African SUNU Group, received the award in recognition of its work in expanding access to healthcare, promoting preventive health awareness and improving customer experience through digital solutions.
Olomola’s inclusion among the Top 100 Nigerian Professionals was attributed to his leadership, commitment to corporate governance and contributions to healthcare financing.
Reacting to the recognition, Olomola said the awards would encourage the company to continue improving its services. He dedicated the honours to employees, clients, enrollees, healthcare providers and partners who had contributed to the organisation’s growth.
He said the recognition reflected the collective efforts of the team and the trust placed in the company by its stakeholders.
The company’s Lead for Brand and Corporate Communications, Samuel Olayemi, also said the award reinforced SUNU Health’s commitment to making health insurance more accessible and dependable.
Olayemi added that the organisation would continue strengthening its network of healthcare providers and developing customer-focused solutions to improve the value delivered to members.
SUNU Health said it planned to build on the achievement by expanding digital healthcare access, strengthening partnerships with healthcare providers and promoting health literacy.
The company added that its focus remained on improving access to affordable healthcare and delivering services that meet the needs of individuals and organisations across Nigeria.
