Rite Foods Limited has introduced LIDA Malt Classic, a new non-alcoholic malt drink, as the company expands its beverage offerings in Nigeria.
The product was unveiled to media representatives and content creators during an immersion programme at the company’s manufacturing facility in Ososa, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, on October 15, 2026.
Marketed under the slogan “LIDA Malt. Made for You,” the drink is currently available in its Classic variant and packaged in PET bottles.
Speaking at the event, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods, said the launch reflected the company’s continued efforts to develop products that meet consumers’ preferences and suit different everyday occasions.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Rite Foods, Seleem Adegunwa, also described the introduction as part of the company’s drive to innovate and respond to changing consumer expectations.
Toyin Nnodi, the company’s Head of Marketing, said LIDA Malt was developed with consumers in mind, adding that the “Made for You” proposition reflects the brand’s focus on quality and everyday experiences.
The new product joins Rite Foods’ existing beverage range, which includes Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, Sosa Fruit Drink and Fearless Energy Drink. The company also produces Rite Spicy Beef, Bigi Beef and Bigi Flex Sausages.
During the factory tour, Eze also highlighted the company’s approach to energy management and sustainability. He said about 95 per cent of Rite Foods’ energy consumption comes from natural gas and solar power, while diesel accounts for the remaining five per cent.
The launch adds another product to Rite Foods’ portfolio as it continues to compete in Nigeria’s food and beverage market.
